Twin City Grill- The Best Restaurant at the Mall of America

Twin City Girll, Flat Bread Pizza

Twin City Grill is my favorite restaurant at the Mall of America. It is cozy, has great food, and is reasonably priced.  I think that it is the best place to eat at the Mall of America because the menu accommodates many different eaters. They have salads, burgers, flat breads and walleye.

My last experience there deserves special recognition because not only was the food delicious. The service was above par.

Twin City Grill, MOA, Mall of America, Salt and Vinegar Fries

Whenever I eat at Twin City Grill I get a flat bread and salad. I love the duo. I also am a fan of the salt and vinegar fries. Order some for the whole table.

The reason that I say that the service was above par was because of a miscommunication that I had with my server. It was very loud and busy in the restaurant that night and he thought that I had said that I did not want my leftovers. I did actually want them. Seriously, the flat bread is great to eat cold the next day.

He apologized and ordered a new one from the kitchen and it was out and in my hand within 3 minutes, just like he said.

I was floored that he handled this situation the best way that he possibly could have. Unfortunately, it looked like one of his managers was giving him a hard time for it. Well, people make mistakes and the situation was corrected. It  showed that this restaurant cares about their customers.

Because great service makes me come back

What is your favorite place to eat when you go to the Mall of America?

Local Chef Challenge

On March 31st & April 1st Minnesota Monthly is putting on the Local Chef Challenge at the Mall of America.

I love Top Chef because it is amazing to watch the talent that chefs have. Here is the chance for one of the 8 local Minnesota chefs to become the Top Chef of Minnesota and we get to watch it up close and personal. It will be interesting to see what they bring to the table with all the different styles that they cook in.  Each chef will go head to head in a battle royal for foodies in the MOA rotunda.

Chefs include Doug Flicker of Piccolo, Jim Christiansen, Patrick Atanalian of Sanctuary, Jim Kyndberg of Crave, Christopher Thompson of Masu Sushi and Robata, Landon Schoenfeld of Hautedish, Vincent Francoual of Vincent, and lastly Jack Riebel of Bucher & the Boar. My money is on Doug Flicker or Jack Riebel.

Check out more information here.

I look forward to attending this event. See you there.

Because talent should be appreciated.

Great Girl Gathering- Girl Scouts Take Over the MOA

March 10- 11th Girl Scouts will be taking over the Mall of America. They are having their Great Girl Gathering to celebrate 100 years of inspiring generations of girls who change the world. There will be Girl Scouts coming from all over the world to celebrate.

It is open and fee to the public from 10-6PM.

As a brownie myself, I cannot get through February without buying a box of thin mints. I would definitely get a cookie eating patch. The best thing about this event is that they are selling their cookies at the Girl Scout Store at N120.

They will be having performances in the Rotunda including China Anne McClain. You can head on over to Macy’s Court for for a camping experience or to Sears Court for Yoga or Dance. Check the website for more information on the schedule.

Because changing the world matters.
